Buyer activity remains constant and strong through this fall. Units sold in October were 38, up 171% over the same period last year. Dollar volume is up 37% YTD and prices have stabilized. The biggest factor today is a shortage of quality listings close to the beach. The inventory of homes for saleis down 11% since last year, and many of the desirable properties have changed hands, or are currently under contract. If you are considering listing a property for sale, you may want to start marketing now. Some sellers will wait until spring to list, but I would suggest listing immediately as buyer traffic is strong, and attractive properties are moving quickly.
