The June sales numbers are in, and activity continues to be strong. Units sold are up 21% over 2011. Average sales price in June was up dramatically as buyers start targeting some higher priced properties. I have just recently started seeing increased interest in the $500,000 to 1 Million segment that had, until recently, been lagging a bit. June sales volume was up 71% over the same period last year! Year over year sales volume is up 23%. I have 7 closings scheduled in July, and continue a brisk pace of showings with new clients.
I just received notification from New Buffalo Area Schools concerning residency verification for all students this year. The NBAS have received statewide as well as national recognition last year, and they are taking a proactive approach toward residency verification. Two documents, with your name and address, will be necessary to submit in order to fulfill requirements for residency and enrollment. One utility bill, and a lease/rental agreement, or a real estate property tax statement.
