Are you thinking about calling a Realtor when you're on vacation to look at a few homes? Please don't! Real Estate Agents are not unpaid tour guides. Listen, I'm happy to spend a hundred hours with a client to find the right property for him. But I don't know of a single real estate broker who has so much free time that they can spend hours providing home tours to bored tourists.
I feel compelled to write this as Memorial Day Weekend approaches. Sometimes, even serious buyers think they might as well spend a part of their holiday looking at vacation homes since they are in the area that weekend anyway.
I completely understand their thoughts about this. However, they might not realize that that weekend, along with July 4th, and Labor Day, are notoriously bad weekends to view vacation homes because many sellers will either be using their home or renting to guests that weekend. In fact, it's become almost impossible to show any desirable listing during those holidays for that reason.
So, just a word of advice; instead of using that weekend to view vacation property, spend that time with your loved ones. Take some free time and read a book on the beach. Have a drink onStray Dog'srooftop deck. Im buying!

Memorial Day Weekend, Sunday May 28th and June 4th; 11:00am to 3:
"Paul’s style of doing business can best be described as brutally honest. He will tell you what he really thinks, not what he thinks you want to hear. I’ve purchased, developed, and sold real estate all over the country. Paul is the only broker I would use in the midwest."
